Mark Buchanan is a partner of Fragomen for the Asia region based in the Singapore office.
Mark has practiced for over 20 years with leading local and international law firms providing corporate, employment law and immigration services to local and multinational corporations in the Asia Pacific. Mark now practices exclusively in the field of corporate immigration advising clients on high level requirements and regulatory changes in the immigration landscape across the APAC region.
Mark helps multinational companies with operations in Singapore to formulate compliance programs and advise on the most appropriate immigration pathways for urgent temporary assignments and projects arising out of merger and acquisition transactions and corporate restructurings.
Mark is a member of the Law Society of Singapore, the Singapore Academy of Law, the Inner Temple (London), the General Counsel of the Bar of England and Wales, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. Mark holds an LL.B. degree (with honours) from Nottingham (Trent) University in England and a Diploma in French and Norman Law from the University of Caen in France. He is also a Barrister-at-Law of England and Wales, and a Singapore Advocate and Solicitor. Mark has been listed in the International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers from 2009 to 2016.
Mark is an active speaker and Chair at several mobility, legal and HR forums in Singapore, China, Hong Kong and regionally.
